Martha Hatch

Martha was born in Chicago and in 1973 they moved to Coeur d’Alene. She graduated from CdA High School and attended the University of Idaho for a year before moving to Ft. Wayne, Indiana. There she met and married Bud Hatch. They moved to CdA and in 1990 had their daughter Allison. Martha became the director of First Steps Child Care Center at the United Methodist Church in 1999 and in 2005 she assumed the position of their Children’s Ministries Coordinator. During this time she also volunteered a lot with the youth. When First Steps Child Care closed its doors, Martha felt that God was leading her away from the Methodist Church. In August of 2008, Martha accepted the position of Director of Family Ministries here at Christ the King. She directs Graceland and VBS and works with the Senior High and Mid-High youth. Martha works for the CdA School District, working as a School Plus assistant at Skyway Elementary in the mornings and afternoons. She feels blessed to spend time with this amazing group of kids. Martha’s favorite thing to do is play games. She loves getting together with family and friends and playing pretty much any board game or card game you put in front of her.

Kris has worked at the church since July 1990. She grew up all over the U.S. as her dad was in the Air Force. She has been married for 28 1/2 years. She and her husband have two sons, a daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons (with another grandchild on the way!). She is now the office manager and works hard to keep everything organized. She is also a member of the church’s handbell choir.

Sarah was born and raised in a small town in southeast North Dakota. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications. She met her husband, Thomas, as a freshman in college, and they were married two weeks after she graduated. They moved to Missoula, MT, where Sarah was a vault teller at Wells Fargo Bank. Their first child, Noah, was born in July 2007. In October 2008, they moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where Thomas started a janitorial supply business. In August 2009, they were joined by their second little boy, Jonah. Sarah loves to read, but she and her husband spend most of their time keeping up with their two little boys (and during football season, cheering for the Chicago Bears!). She joined the church staff in December 2008.

Cindy is our wonderful bookkeeper who always has a smile on her face. She was raised in California, but she and her husband of 30 years relocated their family to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 15 years ago. She is a mother of 3, and very proud grandmother of 3. She is a busy Christian woman who loves to cook and read, but most of all spend time with her family. Cindy and her husband own Northwest Epoxy Stone, an epoxy stone flooring business.
